Hana Stretton is set to unveil her sophomore album tiarn this Friday. Up to now, the British-Australian ambient-folk artist has released tracks “Stove,” “Salt,” “Seagull Theory II,” and “As It Was Before This,” and she returns with another alluring preview called “From.”
“I composed ‘From’ as a dark storm rolled across the sky,” Stretton explains. “I threw open all the windows and recorded it with my dog Roo asleep beside me. I used a hairbrush as the guitar, added some synth, and a tiny harp. Looking back, it’s really about learning to weather our own tempests without hardening, about continuing to seek warmth and kindness in a world that can feel painfully sharp.”

tiarn is scheduled for release on 8/7 as a self-release with support from Lima Limo, P.W. Elverum & Sun, Impartmaint, and Brierfield Flood Rress.
