Phoebe Bridgers Secures First Solo UK No. 1 Album, Lost Weekend

August 22, 2026

California-born singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers has claimed her first solo UK Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with her third studio project, Lost Weekend.

The album serves as a notable successor to her 2022 release Punisher, which peaked at Number 6. Bridgers previously reached the UK Albums Chart summit in 2023 as part of the indie supergroup boygenius, alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, with that collaboration.

Lost Weekend additionally topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and the Official Record Store Chart for the week. This debut at the summit marks the first UK Number 1 album for Dead Oceans, the independent Indiana-based record label.

Elsewhere on the chart, international girl group KATSEYE secured the Number 2 position with their third EP, WILD. The achievement represents a new personal best for Daniela, Lara, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae, surpassing their 2025 release BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which previously peaked at Number 55. The entry comes ahead of the group’s UK dates for THE WILDWORLD TOUR planned for next month.

Irish rock outfit The Script entered at Number 3 with The User’s Guide To Being Human, earning their ninth UK Top 10 album. Just behind them, electronic production trio Jungle—comprising Josh Lloyd-Watson, Tom McFarland, and Lydia Kitto—debuted at Number 4 with their fifth studio album, Sunshine. This release continues the group’s streak of every studio album reaching the UK Top 10. Michael Jackson’s compilation The Essential finished the Top 5.

Further down the list, Kris Barras Band claimed their third Top 40 entry with Monsters We Made at Number 21, while Marilyn Manson notched a 12th UK Top 40 album as One Assassination Under God – Chapter 2 opened at Number 27. Additionally, Ariana Grande’s 2024 album eternal sunshine climbed 58 places to Number 15, aided by her ongoing arena residency at London’s The O2.
