BLACKPINK’s Jennie Unveils Solo EP

August 22, 2026

Jennie of BLACKPINK is set to issue a fresh solo extended play.

The 30-year-old artist revealed that her digital solo EP, Fallen Angel, will be released on August 28, and it includes tracks titled FALLEN ANGEL, HEAVEN, and Less Than a Lover.

She announced the new music via a post on Odd Atelier’s social media pages, her own company, describing it as “A gift from JENNIE, with love”.

Additionally, she disclosed that a music video for the lead track will drop the same day.

Her EP follows the group’s eagerly awaited mini-album Deadline, which BLACKPINK released a few months earlier in February.

The K-pop quartet—made up of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rosé—brought their namesake global tour to a close on January 26, 2026, at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium.

Following the release of the lead single, JUMP, in July 2025, the five-track collection arrived, rounded out by GO, Me and my, Champion, and Fxxxboy.

YG Entertainment commented on Deadline: “Even amid the intense schedule of a large-scale world tour, the members devoted significant time and effort to perfecting this album. We are confident it is a body of work that encapsulates both the individual musical capabilities of the four members and their synergy as a team. We ask for your continued support as BLACKPINK once again leaves a meaningful mark on the global music industry.”

The quartet focused on their solo careers following the release of their 2022 album Born Pink.

Lisa had hinted earlier that they were back in the studio crafting new material for a forthcoming album.

In a Variety interview, she revealed: “We were actually in the studio just a few days ago.”

“We’re all so super excited to get back together and go on tour. We really miss the Blinks. We can’t wait to see them.”

Each member has since built a successful solo path.

Rosé issued her solo debut Rosie, which includes the Bruno Mars-penned hit APT that earned a Grammy nomination.

Lisa released her own full-length project, Alter Ego, and made her acting debut on HBO’s The White Lotus, filmed in Thailand.

Jennie unveiled her debut solo project, Ruby, the previous year, while Jisoo released her EP Amortage, broadening her solo artistry.
