Napsack Announces New Album More Mountains; Listen to the Track “If I Could Write”

August 23, 2026

Knapsack were trailblazers of the ’90s emo scene who bumped back into the spotlight last year. This piece isn’t about them. It focuses on Napsack, the country-tinged indie rock outfit from Cleveland.

In October, Napsack will unveil their forthcoming album More Mountains. They haven’t laid out many specifics about the LP yet, but today they share a new track that earns my coveted quadruple-F rating: For Fans Of Florry. There’s a comparable volatility in Sarah Cuturic’s vocal tremor and in the way this song rolls along. It’s gentle yet rough around the edges, and it also brings Wilco to mind—the godfathers of this alt-twang vibe. It makes sense given that Cuturic and drummer Will Cuneo originally started the band in Chicago.

Listen to “If I Could Write” below, and stay tuned for more Napsack tunes to come.

More Mountains will arrive later this year on Just Because.
