Liam Gallagher appears to be waiting for Noel Gallagher to issue the formal reveal about next year’s rumored Oasis tour.
As fans push the frontman of the legendary Britpop band for an official statement, he posted on X on Monday morning (24.08.26): “Please, RKID, announce the tour—we’re all going crazy.”
Following their sold-out Oasis Live ’25 reunion run last year, their first in 16 years, speculation has been rife and Liam has been hinting at additional performances.
The promoters behind the planned run were recently granted permission to stage gigs at Knebworth.
BBC News reported that North Hertfordshire Council granted the application from SJM Concerts with immediate effect.
The licence allows for up to 125,000 attendees and events can run into the early hours.
While it hasn’t been confirmed which event or artist the licence covers, rumours suggest Oasis are targeting a return to Knebworth—site of their two huge 1996 concerts—for a record-breaking six performances.
There are also whispers of a 12-night residency in their hometown of Manchester at the Etihad Stadium.
A source told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “Oasis’ schedule is booked. It’s 12 nights at the Etihad over six weeks starting in June.”
“They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added but for now that’s the master plan.”
However, despite being bookies’ favourites, Liam has claimed the Wonderwall hitmakers will not be headlining Glastonbury next year.
He told a fan on X: “It’s not happening. So all you crocodile-wearing, flag-waving, silly talk can calm down.”
Liam also hinted: if they do any more gigs, they’re going to raise the stakes even further.
