The Rotterdam-based post-punk outfit Tramhaus commits a lot of time to traversing Europe, and their latest releases reveal a tight, locked-in chemistry that only comes from playing a hefty handful of live shows. They are set to unveil their second LP, Blister, later this autumn, and we’ve already spotlighted the compelling lead track “Plovdiv.” Today, they unveil their newest cut, “Swarm,” a scorching roar that carries a robust dose of grunge and post-hardcore muscle. The members describe the song as a meditation on “the individual self, and the image that accompanies it — are you formed by others’ ideas, or are you the product of your own thoughts?” Profound, indeed. Blister is scheduled for release on 10/9 and will land through a cluster of labels: the Netherlands’ Subroutine Records, France’s Vicious Circle, Austria’s Siluh Records, Italy’s Bronson Recordings, Portugal’s Lovers & Lollypops, and Poland’s Peleton Records.
