The landmark BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ has already set new benchmarks, standing as the most lucrative tour in the band’s history. Billboard Boxscore reports that the trek has grossed more than $433 million and moved 2.3 million tickets across its first 38 international dates. With this leg, BTS joined Beyoncé and Bad Bunny as only the third artist ever to gross over $100 million in multiple calendar months.
Launching in Tampa, the trek then traversed major markets such as El Paso, Mexico City, Las Vegas, Toronto, and Chicago before arriving in Los Angeles. Each stop offered unique setlist surprises drawn from the group’s expansive catalog, along with citywide celebrations. Local authorities issued official proclamations and landmarks glowed in purple and ARIRANG red, including Los Angeles declaring the first week of September as “BTS Week.”
The impact extended beyond the concerts themselves, with immersive citywide fan experiences in New York and Las Vegas under the banner ‘BTS THE CITY ARIRANG,’ featuring cultural collaborations, exhibitions, and interactive programs at major civic landmarks like Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Center.
The North American run follows the release of their fifth studio album, ARIRANG, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, backed by the Hot 100-leading lead single “SWIM.” After the final SoFi Stadium show on September 6, BTS plans to bring the BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ to Latin America the following month to continue their global stadium circuit.
