Hot on the heels of his chart-topping 2025 record You’ll Be Alright, Kid, Warren ascends back to the summit while also clinching the Official Vinyl Albums Chart crown, shifting more vinyl copies this week than any other title. Marking the milestone while on tour Down Under, Warren was presented with a custom clay replica of the Official Number 1 Album Award, crafted by his wife, Kouvr.
Expressing his gratitude to his British supporters, Alex Warren told Official Charts: “This is absolutely insane, and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. You were the first people to believe in me, and I hope to come over there soon to perform live. I love you all so much!”
Manchester’s rock outfit The Courteeners enter the chart at No. 2 with God Bless The Band. Although they don’t quite clinch the top spot, the band does take No. 1 on the Official Record Store Chart after shifting the most physical copies through independent UK record shops over the past week.
Dolly Parton’s Diamonds & Rhinestones: The Greatest Hits Collection rises to No. 5, marking its first appearance inside the Top 5. Meanwhile, pop group Bananarama leaps to No. 6 following the 40th anniversary reissue of True Confessions, delivering the trio their highest UK album placement in 38 years since 1988’s The Greatest Hits Collection.
Mexican rock band The Warning achieves its UK chart debut at No. 16 with Everything’s Falling, while guitarists Steve Hackett and Steve Rothery collaborate to reach No. 24 with The Roaring Waves. Metal outfit Mastodon lands their sixth Top 40 album in the UK as Marrow Deep enters at No. 27, followed by former Beastie Boys member Mike D making his solo bow at No. 28 with Thank You. Finally, Interpol secures their seventh Top 40 entry with This Mirror Weighs a Ton, opening at No. 33.
