The beloved disc jockey, whose name echoes a television show from the nineties, is back with another otherworldly new track. The fresh single “Junior Beat” продолжает Sabrina The Teenage DJ’s prolific run, serving as the successor to July’s “Still Standing.”
“Junior Beat” nods toward Quentin Dupieux’s famous hit “Flat Beat,” released in 1999 under his Mr. Oizo alias. It became a major sensation that spurred a number of creative offshoots, or knockoffs, in some circles. Most notably, Italian duo Nari & Milani released “Triangle,” a move that Dupieux did not approve of.
Sabrina’s “Junior Beat” cover art riffs on the Flat Beat EP artwork and its accompanying visuals, which originally featured a hard‑working yellow puppet. In Sabrina’s version, the puppet has braids and wears a floral dress. Whether this is a tribute, a spoof, or a playful challenge remains uncertain. Perhaps she’s attempting to outdo the ’90s hit with a cheeky duel of sorts.

So here’s my answer: blend elements of Flat Beat, Flat 55, M-Seq, Tweeter Trouble and Camisra’s Let Me Show You… once you think about it, it’s really quite straightforward.
Now, this video uses ZERO A.I. or sloppy tricks! I hand‑modeled the furniture in Blender, rendered it with Cycles, shot the puppet at 24p, and did basic color grading in Davinci Resolve. The whole production took a few hours for modeling and rendering, a few for shooting, and a few for editing, see? No need for low‑quality AI. Finally, it will be streaming soon!!
