Devout by Working Men’s Club – Produced by Atticus Ross

September 9, 2026

Manchester-based dance-rock outfit Working Men’s Club released their latest album Fear Fear in 2022, and we were into it. Since then, frontman Sydney Minsky Sargeant has launched an acoustic-leaning solo path, and that was nice too. Now the band is back with a notably high-profile single.

Minsky Sargeant co-produced Working Men’s Club’s new track “Devout” with Atticus Ross, the Oscar-winning composer and producer who has long served as Trent Reznor’s primary musical collaborator, both in and outside Nine Inch Nails, for many years. The collaboration feels apt once you hear the track’s pulsing, kinetic backdrop. It leans more toward New Order in mood than toward NIN, yet it carries a harsh edge that evokes Factory Floor.

“Devout” is out now on Domino.

I write about music as a cultural signal, following the artists, scenes, releases, and movements that shape how people listen today. My work focuses on discovery, context, and the stories behind the sounds that travel beyond borders.
