With this newest triumph, Kasabian join an exclusive cadre of acts that have achieved eight UK Number 1 albums, alongside legends such as Oasis, Led Zeppelin, R.E.M., The Killers, and Westlife. The band’s impressive streak of chart-toppers spans more than twenty years, starting with Empire in 2006 and continuing through West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (2009), Velociraptor (2011), 48:13 (2014), For Crying Out Loud (2017), The Alchemist’s Euphoria (2022), Happenings (2024), and now ACT III. In addition to the main chart victory, ACT III also debuted at Number 1 on the Official Record Store Chart by moving the most physical copies in independent music shops nationwide.

Meanwhile, the enigmatic alternative act PRESIDENT completed the Top 5 with their debut Blood Of Your Empire, which also topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart as the week’s best-selling wax release.
Further down the chart, Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Jamie Webster earned his fourth consecutive Top 10 album as Running Round The Sun entered at Number 10. Ellie Goulding returned with I Know Too Much at Number 16, while Dexys Midnight Runners secured their eighth Top 20 entry with LOVE at Number 20. Natalie Imbruglia reached Number 22 with Algorithm, marking her seventh Top 40 project, and former Thin Lizzy frontman Ricky Warwick claimed Number 28 with Fire & Vengeance.
Oasis also saw a noticeable surge on the chart following cinema screenings of their new documentary and talk of forthcoming live shows, with Time Flies… (1994-2009) leaping to Number 15 and the classic album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? climbing to Number 24.
