Sex Week: Life Comes Full Circle

September 15, 2026

In the prior year, Sex Week released their sophomore EP, Upper Mezzanine. The indie duo has spent this season honing their live performances, opening for Mitski, Acopia, Fcukers, and their recent designation as a Band To Watch, Cardinals. They now return with their first fresh release of the year: a transcendent track titled “Life Is A Circle.”

“‘Life Is A Circle’ acts as the bedrock of our sonic vocabulary,” says Pearl Amanda Dickson. Richard Orofino adds, “Crafting it was cathartic. We layered in little wooden recorders, accordions and 808s, and we didn’t care about anything except what we wanted to hear.”

A self-directed music video accompanies the track and can be viewed below.

I write about music as a cultural signal, following the artists, scenes, releases, and movements that shape how people listen today. My work focuses on discovery, context, and the stories behind the sounds that travel beyond borders.
