Oli Sykes, the frontman of Bring Me The Horizon, and Courtney LaPlante, Spiritbox’s bandleader, have unveiled an EDM-heavy track crafted for Valorant.
The metalcore stars joined forces with producer Grabbitz on If The Sun Burns Out Tonight for the tactical hero shooter’s Champions Shanghai 2026 Finals, slated to run from September 24 to October 18.
Oli said: “I’ve always been drawn to projects that blur the lines between storytelling and music, so collaborating with Riot Games, alongside Grabbitz and Courtney, and stepping into the Valorant world felt like a natural fit.”
Courtney said: “I can’t wait for people to hear this track! Oli has given me so many chances to perform live with Bring Me The Horizon over the years, and we’re finally presenting something we created together. Grabbitz crafted a vivid atmosphere and a song that suits all three of our voices, and Oli jumped in from the start to help make it a true collaboration.”
Grabbitz added: “The strongest collaborations happen when everyone brings a different perspective to the room—and that’s what makes this record so thrilling for me.
“Oli, Courtney and I came together from various corners of the globe, and ended up with a track that sits seamlessly between my electronic realm and the heavyweight textures of Bring Me The Horizon and Spiritbox. The three of us clicked instantly—and the result, in my view, stands as the best Valorant anthem to date.”
Speaking about how influential BMTH have been on the scene and herself in particular, Courtney previously told NME: “I think a lot of metal bands are very comfortable doing the same things as everyone else. There’s nothing wrong with that, of course – I love seeing a band who’ve been around for 30 years playing to three generations of fans, but Bring Me The Horizon speak to my dreams a lot more.”
