Jorja Smith and Robyn counted among the victors at the 2026 Independent Music Awards, staged at The Roundhouse in London on Tuesday.
Smith claimed the Best Independent Track honour for The Way I Love You, released in May 2025 via her FAMM label and it climbed to number 39 on the UK Official Singles Chart.
This prize marks her second win at the Independent Music Awards, her first having come with the Independent Breakthrough trophy in 2018.
Robyn took home the Best Independent Album prize for her ninth studio effort Sexistential, while soul artist Jalen Ngonda, who was nominated in three categories, earned this year’s Independent Breakthrough award.
The annual ceremony, organized by the Association for Independent Music, celebrates the UK’s indie music scene. Here is a highlight reel of the winners.
