Amy Winehouse’s longstanding backing group is set to reunite for a commemorative show, joined by a roster of guests including Mark Ronson.
The one-night event will take place at the Roundhouse in London on 21 October, under the banner Back to Black 20, celebrating two decades since the release of her defining album Back to Black.
The Amy Winehouse Band, comprising the musicians who toured and recorded with her, will perform the 2006 award-winning LP in its entirety.
Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, producers of that landmark record, are also set to attend.
Ronson said he felt honoured to participate in the celebration alongside Salaam and a line-up of talented artists chosen to perform her music.
He stressed that honoring the legacy of Back to Black would be the central aim of the evening.
Notable guest vocalists will include Baby Rose, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jorja Smith, FLO, Nia Smith and Skye Newman.
Remi, who produced the classic album, expressed anticipation to hear the performers deliver these beloved songs, among them Rehab, Love Is a Losing Game, You Know I’m No Good and Back to Black.
Time really does fly; he admitted that two decades have already passed.
He looked forward to hearing the new interpretations these artists would offer for the familiar favorites.
Winehouse passed away at the age of 27 in July 2011 due to accidental alcohol poisoning.
Fans who want early access to tickets can obtain a unique code by pre-ordering the 20th anniversary edition of Back to Black from the official Winehouse store before noon on 28 September.
Public ticket sales are scheduled to begin at 10:00 BST on 1 October.
The event will also be televised by BBC Two and streamed on BBC iPlayer in late October as part of a tribute to Winehouse’s enduring legacy.
