Paris-based Kate Stables has spent years releasing folk-tinged indie rock as This Is The Kit, and she looks set to do it again. Ghost Coat, the group’s latest LP, is planned for a January release. It was recorded at Rockfield Studios—the legendary Welsh countryside venue that hosted iconic sessions by the Stone Roses, Oasis, Motörhead, and Queen—and is described as Stables’ most collaborative project to date. The album features more than her regular outfit, with contributions from Richard Dawson, Sam Amidon, Ben Howard, the Portron brothers Valentin and Marceau of Portron Portron Lopez, and Emma Broughton, who performs as Blumi.
