Peel Dream Magazine Unveils Expanded Taurus Edition; Listen to ‘Blind Faith’

October 7, 2026

We last heard from Joe Stevens’ frequently morphing project Peel Dream Magazine about a year ago with the release of the mini-album Taurus. Today he unveils a broadened edition, effectively expanding it to full-album length. This release also marks Taurus’ vinyl debut. In tandem with the news, a new track titled “Blind Faith” arrives—a brisk, glitchy electronic pop piece that once again shifts my understanding of Peel Dream Magazine.

Stevens offered this note:

This is another track I was working on during the period I created Rose Main Reading Room. Like many of those songs, I laid down several takes, but I couldn’t nail the particular sound I was aiming for, and the arrangement kept evolving. I stepped away from it and didn’t revisit until earlier this year. I drew inspiration from Thom Yorke’s The Eraser, The Books, and other minimalist, glitchy music from that era. The song essentially explores wandering through the maze of your own mind, trying to escape habits that lead nowhere.

After hearing roughly thirty seconds of “Blind Faith” I initially considered likening it to Thom Yorke’s solo work, but after reading Stevens’ note I decided to let him make the comparison himself. Listen below on your streaming platform of choice tomorrow.
