Jamie T Goes Head-to-Head with Chase & Status for UK No. 1 Album

October 12, 2026

Jamie T appears set to secure his second consecutive UK Number 1 album with Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning). The successor to his chart-topping 2022 release The Theory Of Whatever finds the South London singer-songwriter maintaining a lead in the midweek chart update, signaling a triumphant return for the artist.

Nevertheless, electronic duo Chase & Status are mounting a strong challenge with their seventh studio album, Generic Everything, currently at Number 2. Boasting high-profile collaborations with Little Simz, J Hus, and Giggs, Saul Milton and Will Kennard are aiming to secure their first UK chart-topper after previously peaking at Number 2 with 2011’s No More Idols and 2013’s Brand New Machine.

Blues rock outfit The Temperance Movement are pursuing their highest chart placing yet, with New Promise Land Incorporated at Number 3. Australian pop sensation Troye Sivan sits close behind at Number 4 with She’s The Best, buoyed by his recent hit single Party. Meanwhile, Wigan outfit The Lilacs look set to claim a Top 5 berth with their debut release, Keeping Up With The Joneses.
