Disfear – Enslaved by Our Vice

October 21, 2026

I can scarcely believe we’re on the cusp of hearing a new Disfear record. In the past couple of years, two essential members of the legendary Swedish D-beat outfit passed away from cancer: vocalist Tomas Lindberg and drummer Marcus Andersson. (Another member, bassist Henke Frykman, had already died of cancer back in 2011.) The band’s last album, Live The Storm, stands as a defining statement in the genre, a ferocious, timeless record that would have made for a powerful farewell. Yet before Lindberg and Andersson were taken, Disfear had tracked one final LP, and it’s due to arrive next month.

Disfear laid down The Last Nail, their swan song, with Converge’s Kurt Ballou at the helm, and we’ve already shared “Early Graves,” a lead single whose title is nearly painfully direct. Today, Disfear unveil the anthemic new track “Shackled To Our Vice.” The band’s magic lies in the way a song like this can feel exuberant and triumphant, even amid the heavy context surrounding its release. Listen below.

The Last Nail is out 11/20 on Relapse.
