Today, a wave of fresh, feral hardcore acts is reviving the sprawling, jagged energy that defined the late ’90s and early ’00s. Crowquill, a Leeds-based group, sit squarely in the thick of it. They came together in 2024 and quickly settled on a sound that conjures the raw, feral grandeur of Converge during the Jane Doe era. After a self-titled EP released in 2025 and another project titled Erase The File issued earlier this year, Crowquill are set to unveil their full-length debut Slept With Cannula next month. The lead single, Cannula, is a chaotic, relentlessly heavy track, and you’re invited to listen below.
