Skid Row Unveils New Lead Singer After Two-Year Hiatus

October 30, 2026

Skid Row revealed their newly appointed frontman on Thursday, October 29, 2026.

Justin Sargent, a Broadway veteran whose credits include Rock of Ages and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, kicked off his tenure with a high-octane cover of The Who’s Won’t Get Fooled Again, now available for streaming. Fans can also snap up a limited, hand-signed 7″ vinyl edition.

The hair metal outfit introduced the new member in an Instagram video captioned: “NEW BLOOD. SAME ATTITUDE. After more than two years off searching the globe for their next frontman, Skid Row found him in the very state the band was born… NEW JERSEY! WELCOME @justinmsargent TO SKID ROW!”

Their last regular frontman, Erik Gronwall, left the group in 2024. Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale filled in briefly before Skid Row paused for two years.

In his own post, Justin said: “Well, HERE WE GO! I’ve been holding onto this for a while, but I’m beyond excited to finally announce that I’m officially the new lead singer of the legendary SKID ROW!”

“I’ve spent my life chasing loud guitars, big stages, and the kind of music that makes you feel like you can take on the world. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that road would lead me here!”

He added: “The last few months have been surreal and I can’t wait to share what we’ve been cooking up. And to the Skid Row fans, I know what these songs mean to you…they mean a hell of a lot to me, and I’ll give ’em every damn thing I’ve got!!

“I can’t wait to get out there and raise some hell together.. The next chapter starts now!”

The I Remember You rockers will launch their first shows with the new frontman next spring, opening on March 5 in Rancho Mirage, California.

Sebastian Bach led Skid Row from 1987 to 1996, a stretch during which the band enjoyed broad mainstream success, and he now fronts Twisted Sister in place of Dee Snider.

Skid Row reformed in 1999 with Johnny Solinger in tow, and the group has undergone a string of lineup changes since then.

The current lineup features Dave Sabo, Rachel Bolan, Scotti Hill, and Rob Hammersmith.
