Doechii’s Swamp Sessions sprint presses on. At present, the breakout rapper is priming the rollout of an upcoming, still-unannounced album by dropping bold, self-produced videos for two possibly unfinished tracks, “Bomb” and “Catwoman.” Today, she unveils “Lock Jaw,” the most audacious cut to emerge from this initiative so far.
“Lock Jaw” comes across as a buoyant, racy dance-rap assault that evokes Doechii’s 2024 JT collaboration “Alter Ego.” A dash of hyperpop colours the airy, fluffy chorus, while Doechii also leans into a deeply Southern Trina–style snarling flow. The video, which has light NSFW content, unfolds at a party populated with sex toys. The credits—indeed, there are credits—list Doechii as director and creative director and Taya Lee as co-director and movement director. Check it out below.
