Two Newly Unearthed Ozzy Osbourne Songs Slated for Release

October 31, 2026

Two Ozzy Osbourne tracks never before released are slated to surface publicly.

The Paranoid-era legend—who died in July 2025—quietly laid down several songs with producer Andrew Watt during the 2022 sessions for the album Patient Number 9, and these recordings are now expected to be released to align with a forthcoming biopic about his life.

A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Ozzy kept a practical view of his health issues and life in general.”

“He was absolutely thrilled to be in the studio for the Patient Number 9 sessions because Andrew managed to inject energy and excitement, even though Ozzy was battling his ailments.”

“They worked on the album, and Ozzy knew that with the biopic in the works, he pictured material reflecting his life and his romance with Sharon.”

“Those tracks have only been heard by Andrew and his musicians.”

The tracks are described as still being “works in progress,” and not even Ozzy’s widow Sharon Osbourne, who managed his career, has heard them.

The insider added: “The final mixes haven’t been finished. They remain works in progress and are being considered for the movie.”

“Sharon doesn’t even know what the final mixes will sound like.”

“But the odds are that they will play some role in the biopic, which would be incredible.”

“Unheard songs from Ozzy from beyond the grave is something he would have loved.”

Sharon and son Jack Osbourne have been the driving forces behind the biopic and the project is moving forward, though fans may have to wait a while for both the film and the songs as development continues.

A source said: “The script is being refined as a final draft with Sony Studios searching for directors.”

“Sharon has been assessing who could portray her and convey the intensity of her personality while holding it together as Ozzy battles his demons on screen.”

Jack recently hinted that he is very “excited” about a potential lead actor for the film.

Asked if he has someone in mind to play Ozzy, Jack told E! News: “Conversations have taken place, and we’re very excited— if it all works out. It’s going to be awesome.”

Jack hopes the movie will honour his father’s legacy while also entertaining fans of the late rock icon.

He explained: “I have this mantra I repeat in meetings with my mom or when we’re dealing with the family business. It’s, ‘give the fans what they want.’ Those are our people. That’s who we’re catering to. That’s what my dad wrote music for. That’s what he toured for. It’s why we did the shows we did. It’s been a central theme.”

“We’re making the Ozzy movie with Sony, and I keep telling everyone in meetings, ‘We have to give the fans what they want.’ We can’t make this artsy, kind of esoteric biopic. No, we’re not pursuing that path, for many reasons, but that’s not what the fans want.”
