Several months have passed since the blunt-spoken Buffalo rap veteran released his standalone single “Summer ’26,” the latest in a yearly sequence. Now, Benny returns with a fresh offering titled “Elevate.” Technically, the track is credited to both Benny and his Black Soprano Family crew, but Benny is the sole rapper on the record.
In “Elevate,” Benny speaks frankly about the last few years as he navigated into and then stepped back from the major-label system, earning solid money while staying in the line of fire. It’s Benny in full motivational hustle mode, and the beat, crafted by producer Moose Tarantino, blends Southern rap’s booming cadence with synths reminiscent of 1980s cinema, evoking early Rick Ross. Benny’s latest Black Soprano Family compilation A Friend Of Ours 2 is scheduled for release on 11/13 through Perfect Time Music Group.
