Jazmine Mary, an Australian-born artist who now makes folk music from New Zealand, released the striking album I Want To Rock And Roll last year. She is set to follow up with a fresh LP titled Country Milk next month. In an Instagram post, Mary describes making the record “in the space of a manic month with my loved ones,” though the lead single “Shower Beer” doesn’t convey manic energy. Instead, it comes across as a soft, intimate folk tune featuring Cass Basil and Vera Ellen. The singer also directed the video for the track, which features her dancing in slow motion beside actor Yvette Parsons. Watch it below.
