Perez Hilton’s Family Announces Encouraging News Update

November 4, 2026

Perez Hilton’s relatives have shared a hopeful update on the gossip blogger’s progress toward recovery.

The update arrives three months after his troubling livestream depicting self-harm.

“It’s been three months since our family began navigating this difficult period,” a message posted on Hilton’s site on November 3 reads.

“Although the journey hasn’t been easy, we are grateful to be able to report some encouraging news about Perez’s recovery.

“He has been able to spend time with his loved ones during sanctioned visits, including a special night marking his mother’s 73rd birthday with the kids present. Moments like these have meant a great deal to everyone.”

The note went on, “This entire journey has served as a learning curve for our family. Like many others who haven’t faced such a situation, we didn’t fully comprehend how much time, care, and support recovery from a serious mental health crisis may demand.”

“There isn’t a universal timeline, and we’re learning the importance of taking things one step at a time.”

Hilton was admitted to hospital on 4 August after a TikTok livestream in which he appeared to perform a bloody act of self-harm. Police were dispatched to Hilton’s Miami residence on suspicions of a possible suicide attempt.

While Hilton’s team and family cannot provide a precise date for his return home, the statement notes that they are “hopeful that day is getting closer”.
