Only last year did Andy Boay, a member of Tonstartssbandht (also known as Andy White), unveil his album You Took That Walk For The Two Of Us, and he’s already back with a fresh project titled Doomed. The recordings were laid down on a Tascam 688 cassette machine at two locations: the New York Center for Creativity and Dance in Manhattan’s East Village and the Amelia Street House in Orlando’s Lake Eola Heights neighborhood.
“Child,” the opening track on Doomed and its lead single, arrives with a vibe that recalls Panda Bear and Westerman, featuring a floating falsetto over a bubbling lysergic guitar that feels simultaneously melodic and fiercely percussive. Watch the video below, featuring choreography by Julia Antinozzi and dancing by Dasol Kim and Shane Larson.
