Ariana Grande lights up London during the opening weekend of The Eternal Sunshine Tour

August 17, 2026

Ariana Grande launched her eagerly anticipated ten-night residency at London’s The O2 this weekend, performing before a crowd of 40,000 across the first two shows. These UK appearances mark her return to the stage in Britain after seven years away, arriving on the heels of her latest studio album petal, which topped the UK Official Albums Chart and also climbed to number one on the US Billboard 200.

She opened with “yes, and?”, guiding fans through a set spanning her career and including favorites such as “thank u, next”, “7 rings”, “Into You”, and “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)”. The opening night also saw the live debuts of two new songs, “kiss me” and “bad thing (bunny hop)”. On Sunday evening, Grande surprised attendees by inviting guest Cynthia Erivo for a duet of “For Good” and “Happy Days Are Ahead”. Speaking to the crowd on the opening night, Grande expressed her gratitude and noted the palpable energy from the London audience.

The production, crafted in collaboration with long-time creative partner Christian Breslauer, unfolds in five distinct acts inspired by the visual concepts of her short film Brighter Days Ahead. Alongside a 12-member dance troupe and a live band, Grande dons six bespoke stage looks styled by Law Roach, featuring garments from Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Wiederhoeft, Ludovic de Saint Sernin, and Givenchy by Sarah Burton.

Critics hailed the opening performances, with reviews praising her vocal delivery and awarding five-star marks for the scale of the production, the choreography, and the narrative framework that threads through the show.

Presented by Live Nation, the UK leg of The Eternal Sunshine Tour follows a string of North American dates. Grande’s residency at The O2 is scheduled to continue with more performances through late August and into early September 2026.
