The electronic duo Bicep, operating from London with roots in Belfast, issued their latest album Isles in 2021 and subsequently issued music under the CHROMA umbrella for a period. Now, they unveil a trio of new tracks that resonate as a cohesive homage to club culture. The selections exude a warm, ambient glow. “Viper” is a partnership with fellow producer Clark, while two of the three tracks feature guest vocalists — SOARR on “Air” and Saskia on “Viper.” In a press release, the duo remarks:
This marks the dawn of a fresh chapter for us. Relocating to a new studio, where we installed our own vocal booth, has completely altered our workflow. We’ve elevated our recording process, enabling us to work live in the room with outstanding vocalists like SOARR and Saskia to add a new dimension to our sound. Additionally, collaborating with Clark — one of our longtime favorite producers — was a genuine pleasure. He introduced another layer to the project and pushed us forward while preserving the core energy that defines us.
