Blondie Unveils High Noon: Final Album With Clem Burke and First New Music in Nine Years

October 15, 2026

Blondie has revealed High Noon, their first studio project in nine years and the final release to feature co-founding drummer Clem Burke, who passed away in 2025.

The successor to Pollinator (2017) is slated for February 26, 2027, with the leading track Spectral Eyes — penned and originally issued as a Johnny Marr solo piece in 2018 — now available to listeners.

Frontwoman Debbie Harry describes the new collection as embodying everything Blondie stands for, while still pushing the envelope.

She explained: “This record embodies the classic Blondie vibe — a fusion of all our influences and eras into something novel.”

“This music feels anchored in the here and now, shaped by who we are and how we’re living today.”

Chris Stein stayed famously blunt, noting: “It’s been a long, strange ride, and somehow we’ve wound up with another Blondie album. I’m not sure what the hell I’m supposed to say at this point, except that we’re incredibly grateful for all the support you’ve given us over the years.”

Development on High Noon began in New York back in 2022, as the band collaborated in the studio with producer John Congleton to preserve a raw, unpolished energy. Once the foundational work was laid down, additional production and mixing by David Wrench helped shape the final sound.

Longtime visual collaborator Rob Roth has crafted a fresh aesthetic for the campaign, blending Blondie’s legacy with a cinematic, future-oriented sensibility he describes as existing “between the past, present and future.”

The tracklist draws from every facet of the band’s history — from the downtown-flavored Heartbreak Kid to the punk-leaning Sleepwalking, a collaboration with Sex Pistols’ Glen Matlock, and a contemporary reimagining of Little Metal Drummer.

In recent remarks, Debbie pushed back against the notion of Blondie continuing without its original core, stating that she is “against the idea” of performing under the Blondie name without the “original guys” who helped shape the band’s identity.
