Bright Eyes revealed last month a partnership with Woodstock, the official cannabis brand associated with the 1969 Woodstock Festival, to produce a limited run of pre-rolls. The band is marking twenty-one years since the releases I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning and Digital Ash In A Digital Urn with an anniversary tour that ends this Saturday at Forest Hills Stadium in New York. Consequently, the line features .5g sativa pre-rolls for Wide Awake and two .5g indica pre-rolls for Digital Ash. Unsurprisingly, our Cannabis Correspondent Rachel Brown set out to examine the offering.
Stereogum Cannabis Correspondent Rachel Brown joined forces with their friend Bailey Wollowitz — best known as one half of fantasy of a broken heart, though they also play with This Is Lorelei and Water From Your Eyes, who are currently at Primavera Sound — to test the pre-rolls and share some candid impressions. The two talk about Foo Fighters, stoner-friendly shows, and what it’s like to be high. If you watch the video for long enough you might start to feel a hint of secondhand high. Or at least I did. Watch it below, and you can find the pre-rolls at select dispensaries including New York City’s The Travel Agency and Curaleaf Queens.
Meanwhile, Brown also released a lovely new Thanks For Coming track called “1.31” yesterday (June 2). Check it out below.
