Charli XCX has had to cancel a show at the last moment due to illness.
On Tuesday, the Apple hitmaker posted a message on her Instagram Stories announcing that her Music, Fashion, Film Tour performance at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona would not go ahead on Wednesday.
“I have been fighting sickness across this run of shows and have now completely lost my voice,” she began. “I’ve poured everything I’ve got into my performances, both physically and emotionally, and it hurts that I won’t be able to be with you tomorrow.”
Charli, born Charlotte Aitchison, added that her team attempted to shift the concert to another date but “ultimately were unable to”. Ticket holders will automatically receive refunds.
The 360 star also promised to return to visit her “Arizona angels” in the future.
“Again, I’m sorry to the angels who had made plans to be there tomorrow. I know how much time, planning, and care it takes to come to concerts and I deeply appreciate everyone’s support,” the 34-year-old continued.
At the moment, Charli still intends to perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Friday.
The show marks the final date of the North America leg of the Music, Fashion, Film Tour, with the British artist scheduled to undertake 11 more performances in early 2027.
Meanwhile, Lily Allen has also cancelled a show set to take place at the Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on Wednesday night.
“To my West End Girls in Auckland, I’m sorry to tell you that I have come down with a viral infection and am unable to perform tonight,” the 41-year-old wrote on Instagram. “I was really looking forward to seeing you all and am absolutely gutted to be letting you down.”
