Rumor has it Drake teased a remix of Ella Langley’s breakout track Choosin’ Texas.
Over the weekend in Toronto, the artist delivered a slow-burning, sultry R’n’B reinterpretation of the viral hit, swapping the word "cowboy" for "cowgirl".
At this moment, there is no confirmation about a release date or plan.
Drake was recently seen at Ella’s Arkansas show, singing along to the tune and sharing a backstage photo with the star herself.
The hip-hop icon is a big supporter of Ella, and he recently praised her songwriting on Instagram, writing: "Goated Pen."
The admiration appears mutual, as the country star posted a TikTok video lip-syncing to Drake and Lil Wayne’s 2011 collaboration HYFR (Hell Ya F** Right).
Choosin’ Texas has earned Ella global recognition, topping both the US Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts.
She has also drawn praise from music veterans such as Shania Twain, who described her as an “authentic songwriter” in an interview with Rolling Stone.
Shania stated: “I’ve never met Ella Langley, but just from what I’m observing, like all of us, she seems very authentic. She doesn’t come across to me as somebody that’s trying to be somebody else, or trying to write a song that, you know, is with an agenda. I see her as, like, an authentic songwriter.”
