Elizabeth Hurley Reveals Details of Her Mature Blended Family With Billy Ray Cyrus

October 26, 2026

Elizabeth Hurley has discussed blending her family with the Cyrus clan, the home Billy Ray Cyrus shares with his partner.

The star of The ‘Burbs contrasted her current, blended unit with the arrangement she had with her late ex, cricket icon Shane Warne, during an appearance on the Off Air with Jane & Fi podcast.

“I think it works quite well,” Hurley reflected on her present family dynamic.

“When I was dating a previous partner of mine, Shane, who, sadly, is no longer with us, he had three children who were roughly the same age as Damian or a little older, but they were all kids at the time.”

She added, “They were in school. There were still school runs and holidays to navigate. There was a lot to juggle. And now Billy and I are empty nesters. All of our children are independent, and Damian is the youngest of them all.”

The actor welcomed Damian, now 24, with another late ex, Steve Bing, in 2002.

Billy Ray is father to Christopher, 34, Miley, 33, Braison, 32, and Noah, 26. He also adopted ex-wife Tish’s children Brandi, 39, and Trace, 37.

“It’s very different. It’s more grown-up, and it’s easier,” Hurley continued. “Sometimes I miss being a hands-on mum. I don’t miss the school runs. I don’t miss sprinting around the house screaming because I can’t find a tennis racket. I don’t mind missing that. But you do miss, I suppose, being so hands-on. It’s an adjustment to make.”

Hurley and Cyrus met while filming Christmas in Paradise in 2022. The couple later reconnected and made their romance public in 2025.
