Factory Floor Announces First Album in a Decade; Listen to Two Tracks From One Trip

October 27, 2026

Factory Floor are back on the scene. This British electronic outfit began as a trio and became a duo for their sophomore release, the 2016 album 25 25. They’ve now regrouped into a trio and are unveiling the long-awaited follow-up One Trip, slated to arrive next month.

Founding members Gabe Gurnsey and Nik Colk Void collaborate again with Joe Ward, who contributes additional percussion. Over the past year, the band has rolled out a sequence of singles: “Between You,” “Tell Me,” and “Buzz Saw.” Today, they add two more: “Continuation” and “One Trip.”

Their reunion began in 2024 when Factory Floor were invited to perform at Montreal’s MUTEK festival. “After the MUTEK show, we felt a hunger to work in spaces where artists could connect emotionally and physically, both in the studio and on a live stage,” the group explains. “These environments transcend sound; they carry a visceral energy that comes from being together. It was something we’d really missed as solo artists, and it pushed us to revisit that kind of shared experience.”

I write about music as a cultural signal, following the artists, scenes, releases, and movements that shape how people listen today. My work focuses on discovery, context, and the stories behind the sounds that travel beyond borders.
