ellen allien & apparat - orchestra of bubbles
gefällt bis jetzt sehr gut - wie soll ich sagen..: sehr organisch-elektronisch das ganze, auf zwei songs mit staccato gesetzten streichern, und (relativ) viele vocals. eine gelungene zusammenarbeit mit sascha ring. besonders gefällt mir fürs erste "retina", mit dem kratzigen cello, und "bubbles" mit sehr schönen vocals und schon ziemlich trippigen sound- und beat elementen.
hier den termin auch noch rein:

finde ebenfalls sehr gelungen, was aus der teamarbeit der zwei entstanden ist. schöner verträumt/melancholischer electro-sound mit viel liebe zum detail und zudem auch recht songlastig (was mir sehr gefällt)
meine favorites sind bis jetzt 'jet', 'do not break' & 'leave me alone'

This is for sure - Ellen will stay the busy bee she is! She just finished 2 remixes for Beck and Thom Yorke (which both will be released in 2007) and is already back in the studio to compile the third BPitch Control label compilation "Camping Vol.3".
She is also doing a mix CD for the Fabric Club in London, which will be released in May.
Available in March is a new DVD of the "Time Out Presents ..." series. This time it's about Berlin and Ellen is the host. She shows you around the city and gives away her favorite spots of her home town. Ellen also compiled a CD that comes with the DVD - a great mix of tracks that present Berlin and its vibe. |

==> der berlin-release könnte sehr interessant sein; TIME OUT liefert reiseinfo-mässig sehr viel gutes ab, und ellen ist bekanntlich der berlin-soundtrack schlechthin... - naja, unter anderem. sicher eine gute kombimation jedenfalls ;)
==> auch interessieren dürfte nun endlich, um welchen song von YORKE es sich handelt und wie ihre zusammenarbeit klingt.

1. der berlin-guide ist für berlin-und/oder ellen-allien-fans ein leckerbissen... - wer berlin schon kennt, erfährt nicht soooo viel neues, aber hat eine sehr schöne audiovisuelle erinnerung - ellens sounds passen einfach toll zu dieser stadt. und der berlin-neuling erhält einige schöne impressionen, auch wenn jetzt ev. ellens lieblingsdesigner nicht jeden interessiert (mich zb nicht, aber easy ^^)...... als amrika-import über amazon schon ab 10 euro zu haben; die beigelegte CD... - hm, schadet nicht, aber HEROES von BOWIE auch deutsch hätte ich jetzt nicht unbedingt vermisst.
2. geheimnis um den thom-york-remix endlich gelüftet:
On May 14 Fabric released a mix CD by Ellen Allien - typical in Ellen's hypnotic elech tech style!
What she has to say about the mix:
“I wanted to do an analogue mix, by hand.
I used my favourite records of last year and the newest ones. I like analogue! And I like to hear how one has to manipulate the mix until it’s tight.
I like the mix because to me it’s the ideal club mix that I personally would like to hear in a club.
It’s also a nice memory for me - I can remember every record being played by myself in a club. And when I now listen to the mix I can recall all the great moments.”

ups, da ist jetzt ein THOM YORK-ELLEN ALLIEN-track auf ihrer myspace-seite.
eingeweihte dürfen mir gerne sagen: handelt es sich da um einen gemeinsamen, neuen track, oder um einen remix von yorks bestehenden tracks...?!?! oder sind mehrere zusammengemixt..? ne, ist einfach "ERASER", odr..?
ah, der remix für beck ist auch drauf - ev. ertrage ich ihn ja so...
