IShowSpeed, a 21-year-old native of Cincinnati, is widely regarded as the globe’s most famous streamer. Millions of followers tune in as he is swarmed by fans around the world, performing gravity-defying flips and delivering high-energy, motivational rants. He also explores music from time to time and holds a lone gold record, the 2026 single “World Cup.” Frost Children are a New York duo of siblings who craft glitchy, maximalist hyperpop. They have no gold records. Recently, Speed briefly collaborated on a musical moment with Frost Children while in the middle of a livestream.
It’s unclear how these things come together, but Frost Children joined an IShowSpeed livestream session in New York yesterday. Outside their studio, Frost Children announced, “We’re making some dubstep,” and invited Speed to jump in on a track with them. Speed seemed puzzled by the term “dubstep,” perhaps thinking it referred to a dance style, while Frost Children, momentarily locked out of their studio for an awkward stretch, posed with a little girl for a photo. Speed also commented, “Y’all look interesting.” And indeed, they do.
When they finally got inside, Frost Children immediately fired up a frenetic, energetic track, and Speed danced for a few seconds, grabbed a microphone, and delivered a quick freestyle before exiting with a warm Red Bull in hand. His time in Frost Children’s studio lasted roughly two and a half minutes, but that still counts as a collaboration. Watch the moment unfold below.
