Glastonbury 2027: Tickets Sell Out in 42 Minutes

October 4, 2026

Glastonbury Festival once again demonstrated its enduring appeal as standard tickets for the 2027 edition sold out in a remarkably swift 42-minute window, according to the BBC. Thousands of eager music fans flocked to online queues at 09:00 BST on Sunday, hoping to secure a spot at Worthy Farm in Somerset for the festival, which runs from June 23 to 27 after a fallow year.

Organisers had already disclosed that tickets for the legendary weekend reached a record price of £408, including a £5 booking fee, marking a £29.50 rise from the 2025 event. Despite breaching the £400 mark for the first time, demand vastly outstripped supply. Coach packages had already sold out in under 30 minutes earlier in the week.

While official headliners remain unannounced, festival director Emily Eavis has said she and the team are delighted with how preparations are progressing. For fortunate attendees like Zoe Scott, the expense is entirely justified by the sheer scale of the event, featuring thousands of acts spread across more than 100 stages.

Among the successful ticket holders are Nick and Helen Nugget from Amersham, who first met at the iconic Somerset farm back in 2007. The couple plans to celebrate their upcoming 20th wedding anniversary by returning to the festival with the same group of friends they met two decades ago.

Not everyone shared in the celebration, however. Mat Chapman and his daughter Amy missed out once again, narrowly falling short of entry on Amy’s 26th birthday after years of unsuccessful attempts.

For those who missed out on Sunday, festival organisers have confirmed that a resale for any cancelled or returned tickets will take place in Spring 2027, giving hopeful fans a second chance to be part of the magic at Worthy Farm.
