He’s dialing up the scale for his forthcoming album, American Pyramid, which was largely tracked with an eight-piece band at Pachyderm Studios in Minnesota. We’ve already highlighted several early cuts—”Waiting For You To Come Home,” “Riverboat Blues,” and “Getting Older.” As the album’s release date approaches later this week, Hunt unveils one more advance track today.
Hunt’s latest song, Guardian Angel’s Arms, is a rich, twinkly indie-pop piece that imagines a psychedelic vision. It’s enjoyable to hear him broaden his sonic range, yet the track retains the distinctive intimate quality of his earlier recordings.
