They Are Gutting A Body Of Water, the prolific Philadelphia-based underground outfit, never stops brewing fresh material.
Upcoming next week is KOOL FAITH / LOOSIES II, a 29-track mixtape brimming with guests, featuring collaborations with RXKNephew, Greg Mendez, Spirit Of The Beehive, Hotline TNT, and more. When the project was unveiled last month, three tracks were released; with the release date drawing near, two additional cuts have now been shared.
“illusion hue,” one of TAGABOW’s new songs, is a brief, tuneful shoegaze assault that features Toner, the lo-fi guitar-pop solo project helmed by Oakland’s Samuelito Cruz; his album Dynasty House is also slated for release soon. “am i wrong,” the other track, is a fuzzy, hazy zone-out crafted with help from fellow Philly indie crew A Country Western, whose own LP Audition Tape drops later this month, and the one-man Texan project Dead Sullivan. Hear both tracks below.
KOOL FAITH / LOOSIES II is out digitally 10/16 and physically 11/20 via ATO Records/Julia’s War.
