Leigh-Anne fired back at a social media commenter who attempted to drive a wedge between her and her former Little Mix bandmate Jade by sharing a screenshot that allegedly compared their solo album streams.
The post included a caption that sneered Jade’s success depended on being a “positive encouraging role model” while branding Leigh-Anne as “a flop who loves drama.”
The singer wasn’t silent. In a sharp, tongue-in-cheek reply, Leigh-Anne explained she usually tunes out trolls because she’s “too busy being a mum, a wife and simply iconic,” before fully leaning into the joke.
She wrote: “Sitting here in my mansion by the fire, basking in the fact that I’ve shattered records, exceeded expectations, sold millions of records worldwide… and helped define an entire era of British pop music, I can’t help but smile.”
Leigh-Anne went on to remind her critics that her 15-year career spans Little Mix’s chart-dominating era and her own solo work, adding: “A successful solo career and still making history. I’m LEGACY status. A daily streaming figure could never define that.”
Her response quickly went viral, with fans praising her for shutting down the comparison and refusing to be dragged into drama between the former bandmates. Leigh-Anne released her debut solo album My Ego Told Me To earlier this year, while Jade’s THAT’S SHOWBIZ BABY! arrived in September.
Both singers have repeatedly said they support each other’s solo ventures, but that hasn’t stopped pockets of social media from trying to stir rivalry.
Leigh-Anne has already called out the manufactured drama people project onto the Little Mix members.
She told A Book Of magazine: “Me and the girls are so close. We genuinely love and support one another, so it’s always strange seeing people create competition where there isn’t any. Some people get so intense and say really vile things to each other, and I just don’t understand it.”
