In My Veins by Kora Puckett

November 4, 2026

Kora Puckett, the guitarist from Narrow Head who has also contributed to outfits such as the Berries, Sheer Mag, and Angel Du$t, is stepping forward as a solo artist. Born in Indiana and now residing in Los Angeles, the musician first introduced himself with a three-track EP in 2024 and has正式 signed with TODO Records, announcing the move alongside a brand-new single.

Although Puckett is primarily associated with the heavier side of the alt-rock spectrum, his solo material drifts into country-tinged indie rock, a nuance that is fully on display in the track “In My Veins.” Puckett describes the song as “the start of a new ethos for me with music – keep things loose and open, surround yourself with artists who you love that you can lean on.”

The accompanying music video, directed by Justice Vaughn Ott, captures the song’s laid-back charm by following Puckett as he roams Los Angeles, browses records, spends time with a dog, and picks at his guitar on a front porch. Watch it below, and stay tuned for his debut solo album, due to arrive sometime in 2027.

I write about music as a cultural signal, following the artists, scenes, releases, and movements that shape how people listen today. My work focuses on discovery, context, and the stories behind the sounds that travel beyond borders.
