JADE has linked back up with the person who helped craft her breakout hit Angel of My Dreams as she gears up for a second album.
After contributing to several tracks on the BRIT Award-winning star’s debut solo record, That’s Showbiz Baby! — including the aforementioned first single — Mike Sabath has now been brought on to oversee the production of the pop star’s entire forthcoming project.
He told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “I’m taking on the whole new album and it’s wild. I’m so excited about JADE’s music.”
“That first album, we were figuring things out. This album from the start, I’m handling the whole thing, so it can stay tight and cohesive. She’s gained more confidence and it’s just so fun.”
Asked how close they are to wrapping the follow-up, he teased: “We’re pretty far.”
That’s Showbiz Baby! climbed to No.3 on the Official UK Albums Chart in 2025. In the same year, the former Little Mix star collected her first solo BRIT Award for Best Pop Act.
Meanwhile, Mike revealed he’s been in touch with RAYE about collaborating again, though the Where Is My Husband! singer remains adamant she won’t make another record until she meets the man of her dreams.
He said: “She’s the one famously saying that she’s not going to make another album until she falls in love.”
“I mean, we’ve checked in — that’s what’s going on.”
“We’re not in the studio on a new album yet.”
Mike kept quiet about other artists he’s working with, but it’s clear he’s in demand: “I’m getting to work with people I’ve always wanted to work with. It turns out when you do that, you’ve got to sign NDAs. I can’t say any names.”
