UK drum and bass duo Chase & Status grabbed the Number 2 position with their eighth studio album, Generic Everything. Although they missed the overall summit, the release did reach Number 1 on the Official Dance Albums Chart.
Australian pop star Troye Sivan chalked up his fourth Top 10 entry as She’s the Best opened at Number 9, while rock outfit The Temperance Movement achieved their strongest chart placing since 2018 with New Promise Land Incorporated at Number 11. The band also topped the Official Independent Albums Chart. Wigan indie group The Lilacs landed a Top 20 berth with their debut Keeping Up With The Joneses at Number 12.
The Pet Shop Boys added their 28th Top 40 entry as their Alan Turing tribute project, A man from the future, entered at Number 19. Immediately behind them, Geese frontman Cameron Winter earned his solo chart debut with Live At Carnegie Hall at Number 20. Sabrina Carpenter’s former chart-topper Short n’ Sweet climbed 17 places to Number 21 following a two-year anniversary limited vinyl release.
Further down the board, Dublin-based new-wave outfit Basht. started at Number 28 with Poor Advice, while American rock band Greta Van Fleet rounded out the Top 40 with their fourth studio album Palace For The People.
