If this position holds, it would mark Kasabian’s eighth consecutive UK Number 1, placing them on a level with legends such as Oasis and Led Zeppelin for total chart-topping albums.
Challenging Kasabian at Number 2 is PRESIDENT with their debut full-length, Blood Of Your Empire. Formed in early 2025, the enigmatic metalcore collective—made up of The President, Heist, Protest, and Vice—follow up their prior EP King Of Terrors with a record currently trailing Kasabian by fewer than 900 chart units.
The mid-week Top 5 introduces several new faces. Slovak artist ADÉLA debuts at Number 3 with PRIMA, buoyed by the success of her single “Ain’t in LA”. Pop vocalist Natalie Imbruglia lands at Number 4 with Algorithm, her first studio release in five years. If it remains in place, Algorithm will become Imbruglia’s highest-charting album since Counting Down The Days (2005). Olivia Rodrigo’s former chart-topper completes the Top 5.
Further down the update, former Thin Lizzy frontman Ricky Warwick sits at Number 6 with Fire & Vengeance, aiming for his strongest solo placement to date, while Ellie Goulding’s I Know Too Much edges toward the Top 10 at Number 10. Dexys targets a ninth Top 40 album with LOVE at Number 11, and Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Jamie Webster enters the update at Number 13 with Running Round The Sun.
Reissues and physical formats are also shifting momentum across the chart. A 20th-anniversary revival brings Beyoncé’s B’DAY back into the mix at Number 15, while vinyl releases push Evanescence’s Sanctuary to Number 20 and Foo Fighters’ Your Favorite Toy to Number 26.
