Global pop group KATSEYE returned to the UK with a bang, selling out consecutive nights at London’s O2 arena as part of their ongoing ‘WILDWORLD TOUR’. The dates marked the troupe’s largest headline performances to date and their official UK headline debut, following an earlier fan showcase in London last October.
The landmark performances offered a sprawling setlist for British audiences, drawing heavily from their existing catalog and their latest EP WILD, which stormed to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 2 on the Official UK Albums Chart.
Divided into three distinct acts, the show kicked off with high energy via ‘Hootie Fruitti’, before transitioning into fan favourites ‘Touch’, ‘MIA’, and ‘Gameboy’. Act II put the spotlight on the members’ individual talents, incorporating dance solos from Daniela, Megan, and Yoonchae, alongside a live piano performance of ‘UnloveU’ by Lara. The performance closed with high-energy renditions of ‘Debut’ and ‘ICONIC BY MISTAKE’, ending on an extended rave outro for ‘Gnarly’.
Addressing the London audience from the stage, KATSEYE shared: “We love London so much. This is our biggest show to date. Thank you so much for coming out to see us! This isn’t goodbye, we’ll be back soon!”
Formed through the joint venture between HYBE and Geffen Records, KATSEYE have rapidly built an international following by blending the K-pop development system with broad pop sensibilities.
The European leg of the ‘WILDWORLD TOUR’ continues on September 6th at Manchester’s Co-op Live arena, before heading across mainland Europe with stops in Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp, and Copenhagen. The group will then embark on a major North American arena tour launching in October, including dates at New York’s UBS Arena, Chicago’s United Center, and Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
