Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she relapsed after the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, last year.
The television personality acknowledged that she turned into a mere shadow of her former self and began drinking again as she mourned the loss of the Black Sabbath icon, who passed away in July 2025.
“I felt like I was a hollow version of myself. I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t do anything. I was just empty,” Kelly told Paul C. Brunson on his We Need To Talk podcast this week.
“I was broken in every conceivable way and completely unable to take care of myself. I hit ground zero. I started drinking again. I lost my mind. I couldn’t cope.”
The Osbourne family member, who has long been open about her battles with drugs and alcohol, noted that she has been sober again for the past eight months.
“I can honestly say today I’m eight months clean,” she stated. “I have the most incredible people around me. I narrowed my circle because I lost many friends who didn’t want to see me sad and expected me to be past it. I will never be past it.”
Over the years, Kelly has spoken candidly about her struggles with addiction, and she previously revealed in 2021 that she had relapsed after four years of sobriety.
In another part of the interview, the 41-year-old recalled her final exchange with the Crazy Train rocker three days before he died.
“He sat me down and told me something important… No matter what happens in this life, you can spend the rest of your days knowing that there was one man on this planet who truly loved you, who loved you for everything you are. And that man was me,” she remembered.
“And I started to cry, saying, ‘Please don’t speak like that’ because he added, ‘You know I won’t be here forever and I know you struggle with feeling loved. But I love you more than anyone.’ Three days later, he was gone.”
