Kelly Rowland Addresses Destiny’s Child Reunion Ahead of 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show

November 2, 2026

Kelly Rowland has hinted at the possibility that Destiny’s Child could reunite for a performance at the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Last month, Jay-Z, 56, was announced as the headlining act for Super Bowl LXI, which is set to take place on February 14 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

And Kelly, 45, remains unsure whether a reunion with her former groupmates—Beyoncé, 45, who is married to Jay-Z, and Michelle Williams, 47—could be on the agenda.

She told People: “That’s not my call. That’s his performance. That’s not for me to decide.”

The Say My Name singers have previously come back together at various times, including when Beyoncé headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2013 and more recently when the trio joined Beyoncé’s husband at his 30th anniversary concert held at SoFi Stadium.

commenting on backing the Empire State of Mind hitmaker at his October 23 show, Kelly told the publication: “We were there for our big brother, Bey’s there for her man.”

“He delivered a phenomenal show. Friday was incredible, but Saturday? I’m still amazed how that roof stayed on because the energy inside felt tangible. It was absolutely amazing.”

Jay-Z described headlining the 2027 Super Bowl Halftime Show as a “dream come true”.

In a statement, he said: “From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl halftime stage, this has been a journey. Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”

Jay-Z and his Roc Nation company have partnered with the NFL since 2019, with Roc Nation serving as the league’s strategic entertainment adviser for the Halftime Show, which in recent years has been headlined by performers including Shakira, 49, Jennifer Lopez, 57, Kendrick Lamar, 39, Usher, 48, and Bad Bunny, 32.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has since revealed that he had hoped Jay-Z would perform at the Super Bowl since the deal to help produce the show was signed.

Roger stated: “When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had one request: that Jay-Z take the stage himself one day, at a moment that felt right to him.”

“I couldn’t be more thrilled for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage.”
