Ken Carson Reveals New Album Xperiment

June 19, 2026

Ken Carson didn’t quite wow us with last year’s More Chaos, but the Opium artist may redeem himself with Xperiment, the new album he revealed today. And the wait won’t be long; it lands in two weeks.

The Atlanta rapper has been building anticipation at festivals. At Rolling Loud Orlando last month, he closed his headline set by premiering a new track produced by 2hollis, as well as a Playboi Carti collaboration titled “Cover My Ears,” which they performed again this past weekend at Chicago’s Summer Smash festival. He’s slated to headline ComplexCon in October in Las Vegas. He’s also eligible to receive a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, thanks to recent rule changes.

Revisit the new song debuts below.

Xperiment is out 7/3 via Opium / Interscope. Pre-order it here.

I write about music as a cultural signal, following the artists, scenes, releases, and movements that shape how people listen today. My work focuses on discovery, context, and the stories behind the sounds that travel beyond borders.
