Keo face stiff competition from Southend rockers Nothing But Thieves, who occupy the Number 2 slot with their fifth studio album, Stray Dogs. The band aim for back-to-back Number 1s, having previously topped the chart with Dead Club City in 2023. Taylor Swift sits close behind at Number 3 with The Life Of A Showgirl, helped by the expanded edition, The Encore. Meanwhile, Olivia Rodrigo sits at Number 4 with You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In, and synth-pop icons Soft Cell break in at Number 5 with Danceteria, marking their farewell LP together after Dave Ball’s death last year.
Further down the midweek list, Swedish rock group Europe are heading toward Number 9 with Come This Madness, which would be their first UK Top 10 album in four decades. Alice In Chains are aiming for a Top 40 return with a 30th-anniversary reissue of MTV Unplugged at Number 13, while Orbital’s Glastonbury 1994 performance targets a Number 14 entry. Australian singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin is positioned to land her first Top 40 with The Gem at Number 18, and Suede’s 1996 release Coming Up re-enters at Number 23 following a 30th-anniversary physical release.
Other potential Top 40 newcomers include Nessa Barrett’s Tough Love (29), the soundtrack companion to LINKIN PARK: UNSHATTER (30), and Dublin act Gurriers with Nobody’s Coming To Save You (31). Blondshell, Kneecap, Tina Turner, and Leon Bridges fill out the lower end of the midweek tally.
